Do Covert Security provide wireless and wired alarms?
Yes, Covert Security provide both wireless and wired alarms to suit your particular needs. Please call our sales team on 1890 989 319 or click here to request a call back.
Is Covert Security a fully certified company?
Yes, we are registered with the Private Security Authority ( No:04015 ) and is fully certified.
Will Covert Security certify my system for my insurance company?
Yes, Covert Security install all systems to European Standard EN50131-1 (IS-199). We will issue you a certificate after installation once payment has been received.
What warranty comes with the system?
There is a lifetime warranty on all monitored systems. All standard systems have a year’s warranty on parts and labour, see terms and conditions.
Which areas do Covert Security provide services for?
Covert Security provide service nationwide within Republic of Ireland.
How long does it take to install the alarm system?
On average it takes between 3 – 4 hours to install our alarm system. However, this will vary depending on the system size.
There is a red fault light flashing on my alarm panel, what does this mean?
If there is a red fault light on, please contact us on 1890 989 319 and we will assist you to resolve the issue.
What does the Smart Phone App allow me to do?
The Covert Security Smart Phone App gives you full control of the system. It allows you to check the status of the system, whether armed or disarmed. It allows you to turn the alarm on and off from anywhere in the world. You have access to a full event log of your system. You can also add on our Smart Home Automation System to your alarm and access through this app.
I don’t have broadband, can I still have the Smart Phone App facility?
Yes, Covert Security can run the Smartphone App through a GSM unit, which we can provide for you if needed.

Can I have self monitoring or 24 hour monitoring without a phone line?
Yes, Covert Security can provide these services please contact us on 1890 989 319 to discuss your options.
If my alarm goes off how long will it ring for?
If your alarm is activated it will ring for approx 15 minutes both inside and outside of the premises.
If there is a power cut will my alarm still work?
Yes, all Covert Security alarm systems, whether wired or wireless, have backup batteries as standard. The batteries will keep your system powered for a period of time.
Do I get a panic button with the system?
Yes, Covert Security can supply a panic button with both wired and wireless alarm systems. If the system is a monitored alarm system the gardai will be notified if the panic button is pressed.
Are there any payment plans or options available through Covert Security?
Yes, Covert Security provide the option to spread the cost over one year* Terms and Conditions apply and subject to criteria. Please contact us on 1890 989 319 to discuss this further.
Who owns the alarm?
Once payment has been received in full, you are the full owner of the alarm system.
What happens if I have an issue with my Alarm system?
